1 / 3Aquaria KLCC
π Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur
Aquaria KLCC sits beneath the KL Convention Centre and features a walk-through underwater tunnel with sharks and rays, jellyfish exhibits, and freshwater giants including arapaima and arowana. Weekday mornings avoid the worst crowds.
βI recently had an absolutely fantastic experience at Aquaria KLCC! This world-class oceanarium truly deserves its reputation and my perfect score of 5 out of 5 stars. βThe highlight of the entire visit was definitely the underwater tunnel. Walking along the moving travelator as majestic stingrays and powerful sharks glided effortlessly above and all around me was a breathtaking and unforgettable experience. It felt like being completely immersed in the deep blue sea! βAnd I must give a special mention to the red jellyfishβthey were mesmerizing! Their vibrant colour and graceful, pulsing movement were hypnotic and easily my favourite exhibit of the day. βπ‘ Pro Tip: Avoiding the Crowds (Crucial!) βWhile the aquarium itself is stellar, there is one major piece of advice I can offer to ensure you have the best possible visit: βDO NOT go during a public holiday or school holiday! βSeriously, the crowds during peak periods are super duper crowded. It can significantly detract from the experience by making it difficult to move, see the exhibits clearly, and fully enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the tanks. βThe best time to go is on a weekday, ideally right when they open or later in the evening to have a much more relaxed and intimate viewing experience.
π Family Action Verdict
Strong pick for families with children of any age who respond to marine life up close. The tunnel and diver feeding sessions are the standout moments. Families who visit on weekdays at opening time get a calm, unhurried experience β those who come on public holidays or school holidays face packed walkways that reduce dwell time at each exhibit.

βYear 2025 ended with a wonderful time at Aquaria KLCC! The entire place gives you a magical underwater experience. The wonderful and a calm ambience with well designed exhibits. Of course it was a bit crowded as it was school holidays and lots of tourists. However, the place was clean and organized giving a relaxing and exciting atmosphere. The tunnel walkway is an amazing highlight, bringing you up close to sharks rays turtles gliding through along with many other species. The unique species in every section is truly fascinating. The small colourful fishes and the red jelly fishes were simply mesmerizing. It takes around one to two hours to explore the entire aquarium leisurely It was payment at the counter for a breathtaking experience on a weekday afternoon. A must-visit attraction in Kuala Lumpur!β

βIt is easily one of the best spots in the city for a family outing. The exhibits are stunning, but the highlight has to be the underwater tunnel(β *β Β΄β Οβ ο½β *β ) There are actually two gift shops! One is located right after you exit the aquarium tunnel and thereβs another large one right at the main exit:)) Β°β§ π π π ·q°β

Overview
Aquaria KLCC delivers 1β2 hours of underwater exploration anchored by a moving travelator tunnel where sharks and stingrays pass overhead. The jellyfish display is a consistent highlight. Diver feeding sessions for stingrays and turtles run on a schedule and draw strong reactions from children. School holiday periods bring extreme crowding that compresses the experience significantly.
