Batuu Climbing
📍 Damansara Utama, Selangor
Well-equipped indoor bouldering gym in Damansara Utama with routes graded 1–15, a spray wall, Kilter board, and structured intro classes. Clean showers and a work area on-site.
Pretty positive experience. It’s quite spacious and there’s enough routes for you to try out. Speaking from a beginner’s POV (as in, boulder once or twice a year), I think it’s quite well maintained and well run. The beginner routes (up to 4 dots) aren’t babying you too much, and you get to be a bit more technical while trying out a relatively easier route. Facilities are clean and the toilets are, surprisingly, spa-level. You can bathe and wash your feet, so it’s quite relaxing. Overall a very good experience, one of the better gyms thus far.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children, teens, and beginners wanting a structured first climbing experience. The graded route system means all skill levels find appropriate challenges. Young children under 7 or 8 may lack the grip strength to engage meaningfully with even beginner routes.

“Big gym, fun routes .They have 15 grades: 1-5 for beginners, 6-10 for intermediate climbers and 11-15 for hard core climbers. My cousin hasn't climbed for a while but we both found our routes and had so much fun there. They have a little space with tables if you need to work in between climbs. Toilet and shower are clean and smell good, hair dryer is provided. Also, people are nice and supportive there!”

“Great experience with the 「Intro to Climbing」class! Coach Faz is good, knowledgeable and patient. His presence on the ground made me feel safe and solved my trust issues with the rope. Yay but also a friendly reminder to always be careful when dropping down, overall a highly recommended session (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑ !!”

“A spacious gym with both bouldering and lead. I only tried the bouldering. The problems came at a good variety in general. I would have liked some more crimps as they seem to prefer a more modern setting style. They also have a spray wall and a Kilter board. In terms of difficulty, I'd say the gym is quite beginner-friendly. The facilities are plentiful. You have a workout area, a sitting area, lockers, storage space and plenty of space to move around. The staff were friendly and helpful. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the induction video which was the funniest I've ever watched. Overall, it was a positive experience.”
