We visited Farm in the City with our three and four year old kids and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The park is beautifully maintained, clean and full of life. The staff members are very kind, helpful and clearly care about the visitors. Our kids had such a great time interacting with the animals, feeding them, touching them and learning about them up close. There are so many things to do that they stayed excited and engaged the entire time. In fact, they didn’t want to leave when it was time to go home! A few practical tips for other visitors: definitely bring mosquito repellent as there were quite a few mosquitoes when we went and it can get quite hot during the day so sun caps or hats are a good idea. Luckily, there are plenty of food and drink options available inside the park and the prices are reasonable. All in all we absolutely loved our visit and would love to come back again someday. Highly recommended for families with young children!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

The strongest pick in the area for families with toddlers and children under 6 who want direct animal contact in a safe, well-run setting. Knowledgeable keepers enhance the experience. Bring mosquito repellent and sun hats — the grounds are mostly open-air and exposed. Arrive early for parking and to align with morning feeding schedules.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Bring mosquito repellent and wear long pants throughout the park
Arrive at opening to secure parking and align with morning animal feeding sessions
🎟️Pack sun hats — most of the grounds are open-air with sparse shade
🚗Skip the photo packages — reviewers consistently find them overpriced

We’ve visited several times before, and it’s always a fun experience for both the kids and adults. This time, we were particularly impressed by the improvements made to the buffalo and cow enclosures. The area was noticeably cleaner, with a much fresher scent, which made the visit even more enjoyable. It’s clear that the staff has put in effort to enhance the environment, as there were far fewer flies, which made a big difference for everyone. Another highlight was the attentive staff in the aviary areas. They were friendly and engaging, offering visitors the opportunity to have birds perched on their shoulders, which was a lovely touch. This place truly feels like a proud “Malaysian product” well-maintained, family-friendly, and showing care for both the animals and visitors alike.

Impromptu trip with my wife and 18mth old. So glad we did this! The place is well maintained and the animals were all so friendly and eager to meet us. We had a great time feeding and petting the animals and learning more about them through the knowledgeable keepers. We got to see some really interesting animal too. Will definitely visit again! An advice to others planning to go - long pants and mosquito repellent will be helpful. Also, going at opening time (10am) is perfect - it wasn't crowded and the feeding timings all lined up nicely for us.

Farm In The City is a great place for families, especially those with young children. The environment is kid-friendly and allows children to interact with animals in a safe setting. Parking space is limited, so its better to come early or plan accordingly. The animals are well taken care of and very clean, which shows good management and proper hygiene. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive, making the overall experience pleasant. Toilets are also clean and well-maintained, which is a big plus for families. However, the photo packages and frames are quite expensive and do not feel worth the price. Overall, it’s a nice place to visit with kids, but be mindful of the additional photo costs.

Overview

Farm In The City houses over 100 animal species across outdoor enclosures that have been progressively upgraded in recent years — buffalo and cow areas received notable improvements. Children feed and pet animals directly, guided by knowledgeable keepers. The farm is clean and thoughtfully maintained. Mosquitoes are common across the grounds, and parking is sparse so early arrival matters.
