FST Bukit Jambul
đ Kampung Seberang Paya, Penang
A no-frills cinema on the fifth floor of Bukit Jambul Shopping Complex with the lowest ticket prices of any Penang cinema. Screens Tamil and Hindi films alongside mainstream releases. Cleanliness and screen quality are below competing venues.
Located on the fifth floor of Bukit Jambul Shopping Complex. A very good place to watch movies, the ticket prices are cheaper compared to other cinemas in penang ( if others charge rm16, here would be rm13). Usually not crowded, so you can get the best seats in the hall. Staffs are friendly and helpful. One of the few cinemas in penang, that shows Tamil and Hindi movies. Highly recommend.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for budget-conscious families with older children who prioritise ticket savings and Tamil or Hindi film access over premium viewing conditions. Young children sensitive to comfort will find the hard seats and warm air conditioning a challenge.

âNot too bad given the ticket price is 30% cheaper than GSC. The mall parking is more expensive than KL's mall, audio system is good but not great, the noise insulation is not present, the seat is hard, the ambient lights are annoying, the white screen is full of dirt and the HDR initiatives is just weird. The good things is the hall is large, cheap tickets.â

âHard to find this place. It's on the fifth floor. We came late 20 minutes to the movie beginning but luckily still could buy a ticket and come in. The ticket is cheap. Don't know because of the move itself or the theater but the screen quality is really bad, the subtitles are small and blurry, my eyes wanna fall out trying to see subtitles.â

Overview
LFS Bukit Jambul draws price-conscious families with tickets roughly 30% cheaper than GSC Penang. The location on the fifth floor is hard to find â follow escalators at the back of the mall. Tamil and Hindi films screen alongside English and Malay titles, making it a draw for South Asian families in the area. Hall audio is functional; picture quality and screen cleanliness are below average. Seats are firm and ceiling panels show dust accumulation. Toilets have a persistent odour.
