A great experience to understand what goes behind a prison. Some parts of the museum might not be PG FRIENDLY as they really show those unfiltered footage. So parents just be mindful. Other than that there’s really a lot to see and read!!! But prolly come in the early part of the day so it won’t be too warm! They take your photos too and you can purchase when you’re exiting if you’d like!

β€œSomething very different to do when you're visiting Malacca. Very informative. English translations aren't perfect but generally get the message across. The prison is well preserved so you get a good feel for what life was like. There are some highly graphic images of autopsies and people passing drugs which parents/carers may want to be aware of. Overall a unique experience.”

β€œThe Malaysia Prison Museum whuch was opened 12 years ago is one of many Heritage in Malacca. Currently it is open to public with free entry. Inside you will have the opportunity to witness cells where inmates are placed and see the facilities provided. Apart from completing their sentences, inmates are given opportunity to be train with basic skills and recreation. Visual and live demonstration of the canning are the most educational presentation you will appreciate. Convicts are placed in small cells and isolated from each other. Various technical skils like woodwork and sewing are given to them. It will be a very educational trip for young and old. A place with full of memories and history. A must visit museum in Malacca.”
