A great experience to understand what goes behind a prison. Some parts of the museum might not be PG FRIENDLY as they really show those unfiltered footage. So parents just be mindful. Other than that there’s really a lot to see and read!!! But prolly come in the early part of the day so it won’t be too warm! They take your photos too and you can purchase when you’re exiting if you’d like!

β€œSomething very different to do when you're visiting Malacca. Very informative. English translations aren't perfect but generally get the message across. The prison is well preserved so you get a good feel for what life was like. There are some highly graphic images of autopsies and people passing drugs which parents/carers may want to be aware of. Overall a unique experience.”

β€œWorth visiting at least once in a life time to understand what is inside the prison. The uniform used with different design for different purposes. First time seeing the hanging death execution. First time seeing the prisons, the ratan beating punishment. Is quite scary for kids, will give them some impression of real prison instead of fake one in tv cartoon. Let them see by their own eyes, they will be more understand and be careful not to get into trouble or else will be punished.”
