Mega Lanes Bowling Centre
📍 Bandar Perai Jaya, Penang
Is this your venue? Claim this listing →
Large-format bowling centre with 50 lanes, a pro shop, and consistently praised lane and pinsetter quality. Cash-only payment. Park on Level 4 for the closest access. Phone responsiveness is poor - visit in person to book.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children and teens who want a large-lane facility with reliable lane quality rather than a budget centre with inconsistent equipment. The 50-lane scale means availability is rarely a problem. Bring enough cash for games and shoe rental combined, and avoid relying on a phone call to confirm availability.

“Don't be fooled by the mall appearance, it might seem a little shady from the outside, but they have a really good bowling alley, good ambience, great lane and pinsetter! However they only accept cash. I'd suggest park at level 4, closer to the cinema + bowling alley. But overall it's really good bowling alley. 50 lanes.”

“Old school! Been here again after almost 15 years and surprised to see it’s still here and they even renovated the place! We 4 person played 2 games for RM120 excluding shoes rental and socks, still ok I guess”

Overview
Mega Lanes fills the upper floor of a Penang mall with 50 lanes maintained to a good standard. The pro shop stocks equipment and the staff on the lanes are helpful and friendly. Lane machine jams occur occasionally and are addressed quickly. The cashier experience has drawn some negative comments. Cash is the only accepted payment method and phone lines often go unanswered.
