Permas Sports Complex
📍 Permas Jaya, Johor
A conveniently located community pool and sports complex. Recurring maintenance problems — broken tile fragments on the pool floor and poor toilet hygiene — make careful supervision essential for families.
providing good facilities for nearby residents to exercise, I use to swiming here. make sure you bring your swimming suits and the swim cap. A swim is RM15
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Acceptable for older children and teens who swim confidently and can avoid the broken-tile sections of the pool floor. Families with toddlers or children who run poolside face a genuine cut-foot risk from exposed tile edges. The hygiene standard in showers and toilets makes post-swim routines unpleasant.

“Would rate it 3 stars as a decent community pool and sports complex. (or 6 out of 10). Average, not the worse, but could do better. - Definite a reasonable place for a swim or other related activities, but just don't expect 5 star hotel/private condo overall standards of facilities and cleanliness. - Plus point for location & convenience! - RM15 to use the pool, but was also mandatory to have swimming caps to enter. (not sure why this is needed, as other places aren't mandatory e.g - national aquatic center in Bukit Jalil. Understandable if the extra cost of caps were for maintenance upkeep) - Cleanliness: Changing & bathrooms are a 5/10 acceptable. Did smell a little, but at least there wasn't grime on tiles in shower stalls, had repainted ceilings, clean, semi dry, tidy floors. (been to worse) - Facilities: 4/10 - could continue to see improvements of upkeep. As reported by some recent reviews, missing pool mosaic tiles pose a hazard (however from my visit, the management seemed to have made initiatives to place pool floor platforms which was a nice thought, excluding the ledges). - The only outdoor pool shower was also out. (would be nice if this was rectified and other broken amenities. Would be an absolutely lovely clubhouse if they brought in popular F&B chains for foot traffic as a hangout spot) - Noticed they had purchased buckets of paint, so its also good to know they're making the effort to revitalize the faded facade. The parking area's landscaping did at least also indicate they made sure for some bare minimum basic maintenance up keeps.”

Overview
Permas Sports Complex provides a local swimming option for Johor Bahru residents. The community setting suits casual laps and informal sport, and the price point is accessible. Recurring maintenance failures are the defining issue: broken tiles on the pool floor create a sharp-edge hazard under foot, and toilet and shower facilities carry persistent mould and odour complaints. Evening visits are complicated by inadequate pathway lighting.
