Setia Tropika Town Park
📍 Setia Tropika, Johor
A free outdoor park with football fields, basketball courts, a playground, jogging paths, and a lake where fish and tortoises can be fed. Maintenance is inconsistent — uneven walkways and litter are recurring issues.
Great experience and was a great place for a walk/jog. Went in the morning and there were quite a number of people present but the area is definitely big enough. Playgrounds are also available but I'm unsure of it's safety. Would recommend checking this place out!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for active families with school-age children who want varied outdoor activity without any cost. The sports courts suit teens, the lake loop works for younger kids and joggers, and the playground caters to toddlers. Stroller navigation is manageable on most paths, and some uneven stretches require care.

“A good place to relax and do light exercises. There is a football field, basketball court, playground, lake with a bridge over it for you to feed the fish and tortoises. The footpath circulated the park which is good for a slow jog. Just need to beware of the uneven pavement. Overall, a good Park for the whole family to enjoy.”

“A very poorly maintained park. Dry leaves, weeds, and litter can be seen everywhere”

Overview
Setia Tropika Town Park covers enough ground for a proper family outing: sports courts attract older kids, the lake circuit suits a slow jog or stroller walk, and the playground adds a stop for younger children. The lake's fish and tortoises are a reliable drawcard for small children. Footpaths have uneven sections that require attention, and litter and overgrown weeds accumulate between maintenance rounds. Entry is free.
