Skyscape Johor Bahru is a very pleasant and charming attraction. There may not be any particularly impressive views, but the feeling of height can be very striking for a first-timer. In addition, the glass floor of the balcony may seem dangerous to some. But in reality, it is a very high-quality observation deck, especially if you are lucky enough to have clear weather and a cloudless sky. Of course, for a seasoned tourist like me, who has been to the Empire State Building in New York and Seoul Sky in Seoul, and who has jumped on a bungee cord from a height of 207 meters, a walk to the Skyscape Johor Bahru observation deck will not seem like anything supernatural. But for most guests, it will be a wow effect. In addition to the open balcony, there is a glassed-in panoramic platform with a café inside. There is also a small but very nice souvenir shop. Personally, I now have a branded T-shirt, which, by the way, is of very decent quality. I highly recommend Skyscape Johor Bahru.👍

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children experiencing their first observation deck or glass floor — the compact scale works in its favour for younger kids who find the height striking rather than underwhelming. Families who have visited major observation decks in KL or Singapore may find the size modest.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Check weather before visiting — rain or thunder closes the top floor, no exceptions
Visit on a weekday to have the glass-floor skywalk almost entirely to yourself
🎟️VR experience and kids' colouring area are included in the entry ticket — no extra charge
🚗Café items sell out during busy periods — arrive early if food is part of your plan

A nice spot for a short visit. Do note that if it’s rainy or there’s thunder, access to the top floor may be restricted. We purchased our tickets directly at the counter, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a nice breeze at the top, and it was fascinating to see the construction site below. Watching the new metro being built from above was truly impressive. It would be even more amazing to return once the construction is completed. There is a café on-site, though the cakes tend to sell out quickly, which was a little disappointing. That said, the ambience was comfortable and relaxing especially a pleasant escape from the hot weather outside. We also tried the VR experience, and there was a kids’ area with colouring pencils and paper, which was fun and quiet. Overall, the pricing is reasonable, and it’s a good place to include in your JB itinerary.

Amazing experience! The trip to go upstairs has a reasonable fee. There will be an official photographer who can take pictures for Rm150, if u want. Theres a space to explore VR and a nice cozy cafe to hang out. If you go during weekdays, you will be pleased that there arent that many visitors but during weekends... Sure full. Recommended for a great experience. 🤩👍 P. S: The parking isnt so great though and theres only one lift connecting the car parks to the IJM Tower to go to ground floor. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Great little spot with a nice high view of Malaysia and across the border to Singapore. VR experience is included in the ticket and is a fun 2 min experience. They should probably have a handrail or something and it’s vertigo inducing.

Overview

Skyscape JB occupies an upper floor in central JB, delivering views across the city and toward Singapore. The glass-floor walkway is compact — around ten to twelve metres — with a vertigo-inducing drop panel in the centre. VR experience and a children's colouring area are included in admission. The café sells cakes and drinks and popular items sell out quickly. Weekday visitor numbers are low, often giving families the deck to themselves. Top-floor access is closed during rain or thunder.
