TDSC
📍 Taman Danau Desa, Kuala Lumpur
A small, cosy home cinema in Taman Desa showing curated independent films and classics. Entry is donation-based. No outside food or drinks — snacks and drinks sold at the counter at reasonable prices.
TDSC is truly a gem in the city’s entertainment scene. Tucked away discreetly in the cosy neighborhood of Taman Desa, it’s kept Kuala Lumpur entertained and engaged with its thoughtful and informed showings of movies through the years. We’ve been coming here for years, and have watched movies that have entertained, enlightened and educated us. TDSC is much more than a screening room; it’s a hub for like-minded people who love movies. Some of the most interesting people we’ve met, we’ve met here. Unpretentious and easy to like. We love it. Thanks for doing what you do, TDSC!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children and teens who appreciate independent cinema and films beyond mainstream releases. The cosy setting and curated programming reward film-literate audiences. Younger children are unlikely to find the programming relevant — this is a venue for families who watch and discuss films together.

“A small & cozy home cinema that runs on a donation basis. The amount is up to your ability. Recommend to arrive at least 15 mins early if you wanted to get the couch seat. They also impose a no outside food & drinks policy. The selling price they charge is actually not too bad.”

“Amazing first experience in a small private arthouse theater! Much cozier than expected, it's all by donations, so give generously and help keep this place running”
