TOY8 Playground
📍 Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur
A Japanese-inspired indoor play space in Mid Valley City focused on creative and educational activities including robotics, animation, and problem-solving. Staff actively facilitate play with children.
A Japanese inspired playground that also offer services for child development support to address concerns and also interest of parents and child. I guess it’s fun also for adult to play coz I did had a lot of fun trying out the games with my niece and nephew. The most fun part is when we do the play play manga station where we rock-paper-scissors to write the dialogue 🤣 The option on the animation allows us to ‘kenakan’ each other So I also observed that they offer co-working space nearby the playground area which includes free coffee and free wifi at a price for a duration of time. So, might try the space next time to chill read books or do work. Overall, it’s a chill and laidback playground where you can focus on the games and be creative. Not your typical playground where everyone get too excited.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
The best fit for families with children aged 4-plus who prefer building, creating, and problem-solving over high-energy play. Staff facilitators engage directly with children throughout the session, making this unusually hands-on for an indoor venue.

“I heard about this place from one of the facebook groups. Came here on weekday, after lunch time, was the best decision ever. My daughter (5yo) is not that type of kid who enjoys crowded playground with big slides and running kids here and there. So took her to TOY8 was perfect, she enjoyed the robotic and blocks area. Not to mention the staff who accompanied her is very very patient and talkative🥰🙏. We spent around 1hour30min and was thinking to purchase the all day ticket on our next visit because my daughter loves this place sooo much. They even have a parents lounge - so amazing. To be completely honest, this might be a little boring for kids 0-2 years old, best for 4yo & older. Would really recommend everyone to bring your kids here.”

“We found this service through a friend when we were having trouble with a school-related issue. Dr. Miyoshi was incredibly supportive and kind throughout the process. he spoke directly with the school and explained an approach that truly fit our child, which helped everything move forward smoothly. Even though it was right after enrollment and a stressful time for us, his support helped both our child and us as parents feel at ease at school. This feels like a new, forward-thinking kind of support something you don’t often see in Japan. We’re very grateful and highly recommend his services.”

“Pretty cool place for baby and kids. I was here with my 18 months old baby for an 1.5 hour random play in the place. Not a playground for sure with full of things, enough to keep baby busy for 1.5 hour. There was a facilitator Mia pop in to play with my baby in and out. She is super nice.”

Overview
TOY8 Playground offers a distinctly different indoor play concept — quiet, focused, and activity-led. Children explore robotics kits, animation tools, motor skills stations, and problem-solving challenges guided by trained staff facilitators. The space suits children aged 4 and up who gravitate toward making and thinking over climbing and running. A parent lounge with WiFi runs alongside the play area.
