UPSI Sports Bowl
π Tanjong Malim, Perak
A modern air-conditioned bowling centre on the UPSI campus with over 20 lanes. Parking is sparse and the location is deep inside the university grounds. Service quality is inconsistent.
A new, air-conditioned bowling centre with more than 20 lanes, located at one of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idrisβs (UPSIβs) campus. However, itβs quite heaty inside when thereβs a crowd (e.g. during competition). Suggestion: Better monitoring and control of temperature at optimum level (~24C); not only for bowlersβ comfort, but moat importantly, to prevent issues with machines, lanes/alleys and balls. (I notice that some lanes already have pin loading problems.)
π Family Action Verdict
Best for local families or UPSI-connected visitors looking for a convenient bowling option in Tanjong Malim. The modern lanes and air conditioning make it comfortable for all ages. Families visiting from further afield should weigh the campus location and service variability against the convenience.

βNew and the only bowling alley at Tanjong Malim. Rate per game a bit high compared other bowling alleys, even compared with Sunway Mega Lane. Parking space insufficient but place not busy. Cafe available for foods and drinks. Staff service good and friendly.β

βI came on Public Holiday: Accessibility: Isolated deep inside upsi proton. Accessible by vehicle, idk anything about public transport here. If you're a student then walking might be logical. Parking is limited, I parked on the roadside. Cleanliness: The alleys are clean, neat and still new (2024). No rubbish. Toilet also clean. Experience: Mid, nothing exceptional. Sometimes the system is not functioning properly. There are a lot to improve but still satisfactory. Services: The counter staffs are friendly and receptive but none watches the shoes. The technicians are not that responsive because technical problems are not addressed promptly. There's a cafe in there to chill, just nice if you have to wait. Price: Mid, just okay. RM 12 per head per session for public holiday. Soo nice to have bowling at Tanjung. Three stars cause the technical problems a lil bit bothering. There's still room for improvement. 3.5/5β

βIs Sad to See a new infrastructure in supposed to be Cluster of UPSI SPORT CITY which supports the Muallim Youth City bridging the University Sports and community is not being well maintained for the age of the centre, the parkir and and bowling area is poorly designed not to say the toilets is so damaged that it felt cheap for the way its build, design or maintained, as notice roof is already leaking. The cleanness of the carpet is so dirty with stained and it does not smell clean. Deep cleaning need to be done. The shoe is left to be stack up it is soon dirty to me, that is it hard to rearrange back the shoe in proper order and spray it well yeah? Overall the cleanliness need to be improve. The design of the Bowling Centre really does not match the esthetic of New Azlan Shah UPSI Campus, unfortunatelyβ

Overview
UPSI Sports Bowl opened in 2024 and is the only bowling facility in Tanjong Malim. The centre has more than 20 lanes, air conditioning, and a cafe. Lane cleanliness and equipment condition are generally rated well for a new venue. The facility sits deep inside the UPSI campus, requiring clear directions to find. Customer service has drawn repeated criticism β staff are predominantly students and service standards vary significantly between visits. Parking is sparse on-site.
