Alam Lanes Kuala Lumpur (Formerly Megalanes KL)
📍 Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur
Well-maintained bowling venue in Bandar Baru Sri Petaling with clean lanes, functional scoring, and a cafe on-site. Weekend group bookings are common. Lanes 29–30 have a recurring ball-return fault.
A nice place for bowling with its good lighting, ventilation and a friendly ambience and staff. Being CNY, we came here to roll some balls to celebrate and reacquaint and reignite our fondness for bowling which we used to do some years ago. The lanes were well laid and all spick and span. Being social bowlers, we had to rent shoes and look for balls of different weight and grip at no charge. Shoes per pair are charged at RM3 while week days rates were at RM5 per game for seniors and OKU and RM6 for abled bodied individuals. Though the place was busy with bowlers, we got a lane for the 3 of us without a hassle. The vibrant atmosphere gave us extra energy and higher expectations to do better than before but it wasn't the case.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
A strong casual bowling option for KL families, particularly those with children old enough to enjoy a full game. Clean conditions, affordable rates, and on-site food make it a complete outing. Avoid lanes 29–30, and check weekend group booking schedules at the counter before paying.

“Came here last week Saturday and a group of people had booked the place for an event. This happens often on weekends, but you should ask the counter when the event ends. I forgot the exact price but I know we paid RM56 for 4 people in one lane + 4 shoes. The place is clean, I've been here many times, it's more quiet and less busy on weekdays. They have nice waffles too, RM5 only.”

“The bowling alley has special rate RM18 for 3 games before 6pm. They do oiling early morning and evening ard 6pm, even though is house pattern, but is consider good enough for practicing. Just my ball got 1 scratch after few games, hopefully they can improve this in the future. I enjoy alot bowling here, and didnt experience issue with the staff like what the other review mentioned. There is 3 pro shop at the same floor.”

“The bowling arena is pretty good, and quite affordable as well. There are good deals and student discounts as well, 5 rm per game per person for students. They also provide shoes that costs 3 RM extra. Now, the reason for my 3 star is that the machines are a bit backdated. At some point the score board wasn’t capturing the points properly, and the pins weren’t being reset or whatever. It was just stuck, and we were having to manually adjust the scores each time. That happened near the end however, but it still made us miss a few points and caused an imbalance. They need to ensure everything is working properly and fix the technical issues. Staff service 7/10. Other than that, there is also a small cafe inside to buy snacks and drinks. Overall for the price not bad at all.”
