National Aquatic Centre
📍 Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur
An indoor Olympic-standard pool at Bukit Jalil with warm water, strong natural light, and a clean facility. Avoid event days — traffic and parking become severely congested.
Had a wonderful swim here. Love the outdoorsy feel of this indoor pool! Great lighting! V clean pool, clean showering areas. Can't ask for more. Will be back!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
A strong pick for families with children in swim training or those wanting weather-independent lap swimming. The clean facility and warm water make it a consistent destination.

“Dear Organising Committee / Facility Management Team, I hope this message finds you well. I would like to respectfully highlight an observation regarding the LED display screen at the swimming venue in Kuala Lumpur, which is frequently used for important and high-profile swimming competitions. During recent events, the LED screen appeared to experience intermittent display issues, including pixel distortion and unclear text. As this screen is essential for presenting official timings, results, and event information, such issues may affect clarity for athletes, officials, and spectators. Given that this venue represents one of Malaysia’s key national sporting facilities, ensuring that all equipment — especially the main display systems — operates at the highest standard is important not only for competition integrity, but also for reflecting the professional image of Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia on both regional and international levels. This feedback is shared with respect and in the spirit of continuous improvement. I trust the relevant technical team will be able to review and address the matter accordingly. Thank you for your ongoing efforts in hosting and supporting major sporting events.”

“Great place here. There is a cafe with great food for swimmers to eat after swimming. The pool is kept quite clean although the public pool can be a bit dirty sometimes. Starting blocks aren't allowed to be used during public swimming. There is also swim training here and I definitely recommend to enroll your kids. Overall great place as an aquatic centre and probably is the best one here in KL. Pictures and videos shown here are when I was at the Milo Para swimming Championships.”

“Every time when I go swimming, I m very afraid to get tanned under hot sun or need to stand with cold water during rain season. Finally found a fully covered place with warm water to swim. Nice! Hopefully our govt can build more center like this to encourage citizen to swim. The downside is you only can swim 1 hour which is not enough. The nearest car park is zone D or you may park right in front of the center if they allow you to drive in.”

Overview
The National Aquatic Centre delivers a reliably clean indoor swimming experience with warm water year-round. The architectural design creates bright, airy conditions unusual for a covered pool. A on-site cafe serves post-swim meals. Public swimming sessions run for 1-hour blocks, and starting blocks are reserved for training — not public use. During major sporting events, road access and parking collapse; check the venue's event calendar before travelling.
