Hextar World at Empire City
📍 Empire City, Selangor
Newly opened large-format mall in Selangor styled after European high streets. Ground floor is fully operational with live entertainment; upper retail floors are remains filling with tenants.
Excellent new mall. What a unique place with such great energy! My family and I enjoyed several wonderful hours here on a Sunday afternoon. We were blown away by the vibrant crowd and all the activities. Two things stood out: Tramp running through the ‘High Street’ and the incredible Musical Parade. It was heartwarming to see so many talented performers—of all ages and races—coming together in such an entertaining and harmonious way. A truly memorable experience!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families who enjoy atmospheric outings, live entertainment, and photo opportunities. The tram ride and parade entertain children of all ages without spending anything. Families expecting a full retail or dining mall will find the current selection thin — treat this as an experience destination, not a shopping trip.

“The security guards are really friendly and helpful with directions, its a new mall so its still trial and error. Certain areas are still under construction and parking and route is confusing at first, there are signage but theres not enough (Recommend to mimic the obvious signage like Pavilion Damansara for ease of use). Despite the mall looks to be fun, do note that the current management seemed to be very strict with security and also policy feels a bit inconsistent and requires further fine-tuning. So the building feels European inspired however the culture here feels a bit off. Overall all the staffs are hardworking and is nice, it's just the matter of management improving witu limited resources and find a sweet spot to please everyone.”

“This was my first time visiting this mall, and overall, it left a very pleasant impression on me. The mall is still new, and the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. I really loved the design and the Christmas decorations — they gave me a strong European vibe, almost like walking through a festive street in Europe. The overall feeling was warm, relaxing, and enjoyable, making it a nice place to walk around and take photos. However, I was a bit disappointed to see that many shops were still closed. For a mall that has already launched, it feels incomplete when a large number of units don’t have vendors yet and only a few shops are operating. This affected the overall experience, as there weren’t many options to explore or spend time in. Another downside for me was the lack of dining choices, especially Middle Eastern cuisine. I was hoping to find a Middle Eastern restaurant for lunch, but unfortunately, there were none available at the time. In the end, I had to leave the mall to find food elsewhere, which was a bit inconvenient. That said, the mall has great potential. The concept, atmosphere, and decorations are already very promising. Once more shops open and the food options expand, I believe this place could become a really attractive destination. I would definitely consider visiting again in the future when the mall is more fully occupied and lively.”

“We visited this mall that was recently opened. The parking entrance is very confusing and we had to go round a second time to find the car park entrance. The mall is very large and has many interesting features. It's nice to take photos here with the European themed shop facades. However, many shops are yet to open. The mall finishing is also not that good, with cracks in some flooring. Of the shops that are open, we did find a department store, apparel shops and some food outlets. There's also a nice tram ride that is free. We spent some time exploring the mall and had lunch here although the food court area had many empty lots.”

Overview
Hextar World at Empire City features a convincing European streetscape, free tram running through the main boulevard, and scheduled live performances including a musical parade on weekends. Ground floor activity is strong with a lively atmosphere. Parking entrance signage is poor — allow extra time on first visit. Upper floors remain largely untenanted as the mall builds out its roster.
