Amusement centres in Selangor: snow, luge, dinosaurs and rope courses

Selangor's strongest options are not arcades. SnoWalk by i-City in Shah Alam is an indoor snow park with jackets and boots provided, FunPark at Gamuda Gardens runs luge rides and a Ferris wheel, and Dino Desert in Sungai Long is an outdoor dinosaur park that reviewers say is best after dark for the lighting.

For active indoor play, Game On Sport Hub has branches at KSL Esplanade in Klang and Subang Parade with ninja courses, trampolines and karaoke. FlowRider at 1 Utama runs indoor flowriding from age three with instructors, and the Treetop Adventure Rope Course at the same mall takes children from four.

Younger children are better served at Fun X World in USJ, a forest-themed indoor playground with separate zones, or Cow Play Cow Moo at IOI Mall Puchong. WindMill Fun Park at Setia Ecohill is an evening outdoor park with manual rides and a cafe.

Several of the best options here are outdoors, so aim for late afternoon. Dino Desert and WindMill Fun Park both come into their own once the lights are on.
