Kampung Agong
π Kampung Bakar Kapor, Penang
Recreated Malaysian village in Penang mainland with scenic paddy fields, horse feeding, bicycle and beca rentals, and a mini zoo featuring horses and rabbits. Visit before noon to beat the heat.
worth once in a lifetime experienceπ₯³ literally a kampung with lots of activities. RM10 per entry for adult. You can hop on tram ride too for RM5 but dont worry the place is walkable for all. got some food and merchandise selling, horses feeding, beautiful ootd spot anywhere, toilet, surau, paid parking. cant review on the homestay this time, maybe next! p/s: wear something bright to match the sunny-ootd first, advisable to bring umbrella/shade/hat/cap cuz the heat is not funnnnyyyy
π Family Action Verdict
Best for school-age kids who want hands-on animal encounters and a taste of kampung life. Toddlers can join the easier walks and animal feeding zones. Active families who arrive early get the most out of the tram, beca, and photo spots before heat peaks. Budget for add-on activities beyond the base entry.

βStaff are very friendly , and managed slot-in βBendangβ event for my son. My son had enjoyed the activity. We also rent bicycle & Beca to tour around the kampung. Very nice experience. There is mini zoo which child can close with animals . If you come Butterworth, worth to make a trip here. πβ

βQuite a nice experience for photos. There are many "photo booths" set up around the whole area for visitors. Beautiful paddy fields and wide clear skies. Best to go earlier as it will get very hot nearing the afternoon. There is also a mini zoo featuring horses, rabbits, and etc.β

βThis is a lovely place to visit when you are travelling up north to Penang. It is located on the mainland and easily accessible by road transport. You have to get tickets before entering the grounds. The lush coconut grove and the verdant padi fields transformed this modest piece of land into a magical place with real 'kampung' vibes. I came in the late afternoon to take advantage of the golden evening hue. I was also lucky that the rice fields are blooming so everything feels fresh and new. Aside from the stunning view, they also have many picturesque spots for that one perfect shot everyone is looking for. There is also an animal farm, petting zoo and horseback rides. They also have tractor rides which takes visitors along the scenic route across the rice fields. Bring along your sunscreen and plenty of water if you plan to visit here. It is certainly a great spot for everyone!β

Overview
Kampung Agong spreads across open land with photo-ready paddy fields, a mini zoo, and activity zones for tram rides, horse and cattle feeding, and beca rentals. Multiple food and merchandise stalls dot the grounds. Toilets, surau, and paid parking are available on-site. Staff slot in special activities like the Bendang event for kids on request. The entirely outdoor setting means midday visits are punishing.
