Malaysian Chinese Museum
📍 Serdang, Selangor
Substantial museum in Serdang tracing Chinese Malaysian history from early Malaya to modern day. Exhibits in Chinese and English. School-age children and teens get the most from the depth of content.
Fantastic exhibit that should demand more attention and love from the public. Though i wish more attention was given to May 13, as it’s a pivotal point and a point of contention in the Malaysian Chinese populace, but the exhibits on Chinese culture, effects on culture and wartime Malaya should be a guide on how Malaysian museums contribute to the collective knowledge. Overall, well done.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Families with school-age children and teens who have a genuine interest in Malaysian history will find this one of the most rewarding museum visits in the country. The content is substantive rather than superficial — children who can engage with historical narrative will leave with real knowledge.

“This museum is just like a time tunnel, bringing back lively memories of early Malaya developmental history, mass immigration of Chinese from Mainland China to our modern Malaysia formation. Very educational and well decorated place.”
