Nature Fruit Farm - Farmstay
π Kampung Genting, Penang
Family-run farmstay in a traditional Chinese village setting with hundreds of fruit trees, twice-daily durian collections during season, and hands-on farm life. Booking two weeks ahead is essential.
2 ngts during durian season was heaven on earth. Every morning a freshly cooked wide selection at breakfast ,inc. a durian & red bean bubur. Different durians for sale during the twice daily collection. I'm happy I trusted them to find treasure for me; as I don't need branded durian all the time. The bruised durian was simply outstanding. Stayed in Malay chalet. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and lovely pillows on bed; air con was strong and a fan too. Walks on farm offered chance to see tens and tens of other fruits growing, along with hundreds &hundreds of durian trees. The hospitality was simply the best. Thanks Brenda &WeeWee, plus your mum &dad. And the 3 dogs absolutely made my friends' holiday. We used Grab: VERY VERY easy to move around. But on last morning the Grab Advanced Booking failed. Thankfully, Brenda has phone numbers of local drivers so we were all OK 10mins later. Price about same as Grab. I will be back.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of any age who want to experience genuine Malaysian rural life rather than a packaged attraction. Toddlers handle the grounds easily and enjoy fresh coconut water. The durian season visit is the headline draw, and the family owners create an atmosphere that city kids genuinely remember.

βWhether itβs booking a room or a durian meal, you really have to reserve in advance, we barely managed to get a spot even booking two weeks ahead. The place is rich in local traditions, natural scenery, and fresh air, giving a strong, authentic cultural vibe. It looks like a family-run farmstay, and you can feel the care they put into everything β from the rooms to the orchard to the food. It truly gave us a heartfelt taste of the local way of life.β

βThe owner was very kind and helpful. We also organised an event there and invited friends over, and everyone agrees it is a very nice place. The place has a local traditional Chinese village feel, and it is unique. The furnitures are also unique, and the ownerβs touch can be felt everywhere. The owners lives there to operate this resort as their passion. The life of the owners are like a dream to many. Definitely recommended to visit thereβ

βOwner is friendly and helpful. He orientated us about the place in details & helped us find some durians (even though now is not durian season in Penang). Our place of residence is lovely. So much culture and heritage. Nice soothing vibes from the forest as well. Loving it. π₯°β

Overview
Nature Fruit Farm Farmstay sits in a working orchard with a traditional village atmosphere shaped entirely by the owner family. Guests join twice-daily durian collections during season and eat freshly cooked breakfasts featuring seasonal fruit. Outside durian season the orchard tours, fresh coconuts, and village heritage remains deliver a meaningful rural experience. Accommodation is simple. The owner sources non-branded durian varieties that regulars rate above commercial picks.
