Taman Tasik Metropolitan Kepong
π Taman Metropolitan Kepong, Kuala Lumpur
Taman Tasik Metropolitan Kepong features a well-maintained cycling and jogging track circling a large scenic lake. Bike rentals are available at the entrance gate, and the park is free to enter.
A wonderful park with a beautiful lake (not sure if it's man-made or natural), and it has a great vibe and relaxing atmosphere. It's extremely cycling-friendly! You can bring your own bike, or if you don't have one, there are people renting bicycles right at the entrance gate. One small downside was having to pay for the toilets, which I was initially disappointed aboutβbut then I realized the entrance to the park is free, and the 0.20 cent fee for the restroom is actually reasonable to help maintain the place. Evenings and weekends tend to be busier, as more people come out to enjoy the space, but the park is so spacious that it never feels too crowded. It's perfect for picnics, cycling, kite flying, or even a casual date! Iβm giving it 5 stars for being super cycling-friendly. There are well-marked cycling lanes throughout the park, and a full loop around it is about 6 to 7 km.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for active families with school-age children who enjoy cycling or jogging in a large, open outdoor setting. The rental bikes at the gate make it accessible without your own equipment. Weekday visits give you the park largely to yourselves β weekends are popular and noticeably busier, and the park is large enough to accommodate crowds.

βMy favourite place to jog all the time. A well maintained park with good facilities provided. Numbers of routes can be taken if you want to do your training here. For easy run, elevation training, etc, just choose your route. You can easily complete your 10km run here without getting bored. A single loop around the lake will take about 3.5km. A bit crowded on weekend but still a peaceful place for me to enjoy my jog with the scenic views.β

βThis park is beautiful..clean, spacious and very well maintained. It's just that it's very crowded on Saturday and Sundays. I went during work hours and there was no one. The kids had fun without any disturbanceπ The food stalls are open and there are also bicycles for rent.β

ββI was looking for a less touristy activity and found it in this park. Itβs an excellent place for a stroll, with clean grounds and well-maintained paths. You can even spot huge Malay monitor lizards living in the water. A great, peaceful escape. It somehow reminded me of Lumphini Park in Bangkok.β

Overview
The park's main draw is its 6-7km loop around a large lake, with additional shorter routes for varied fitness levels. Bike rentals are available at the entrance for families without their own equipment. Food stalls operate on-site. The grounds are clean and well-maintained with monitor lizards visible in the water. Weekend mornings attract large crowds; weekday visits are noticeably quieter.
