A historic outdoor skatepark in Taman Lembah Keramat with three distinct sections, good night lighting, and free access. Worn concrete surfaces are rough on equipment. Skateboarders, BMX riders, and inline skaters all use the space.

AU5 has plenty of obstacles aimed at beginner to intermediate skaters. The skatepark is old, so there are some rusted ramps and rails, but many of them have been replaced with newer ones. It's divided into three sections, which is great—it helps reduce overcrowding and keeps skaters of different skill levels from getting in each other's way. If you're just starting out, AU5 is a great place to learn and build confidence. But for more advanced skaters, the obstacles might not offer much of a challenge. That said, because of its historical significance in Malaysia’s skate scene, I still recommend skating here at least once. It’s a spot worth experiencing

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 8 and up who are learning to skateboard, ride BMX, or inline skate and need open space to practise without venue fees. The three-section layout gives beginners room away from more experienced riders. Stroller access to the skate area itself is not practical.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Bring older or backup gear — rough concrete surfaces wear wheels and board undersides faster than smooth parks
Ride on dry days only — the open concrete becomes unrideable when wet
🎟️Respect the surrounding neighbourhood by keeping noise at a reasonable level
🚗Visit in the evening to take advantage of the lighting — sessions run later than most outdoor parks

This is one of the OG skatepark that every skateboarders need to drop by. Skateable for day and night except rainy day. With a good lighting system and damn spacious, this park able to cater all different categories. Skateboarders, bmxers, inliners and even cruise boarders are all welcome to hit this spot. This skatepark located in the middle of neihbourhood areas. Bare in mind to respect the surroundings. We could skate up till late but no noise, no booze, no drugs and no sexual activities. 🏠🌳🏡

The park was originally a roller skate rink. Bunch of local skateboarder been skating here since the early 90s. The surface were rough and destroy your board quicker than you think. But thats not an excuse that you cant skate here. Imagine after 30 years, lots of cracks and hold here and there. As i said, that doesn't u and me from skating. The local community been trying to upgrade the park with some help from the city council but they (MPAJ) built ramp without consult any of the skaters there. So most of the ramps were wrongly made, wrong specs radius and not safe to skate. Beside those weird wrongly ramp obstacle, the local decided to built their own thing which are more skatable. Kudos to them for their effort! AU5 community rules!!!

Overview

AU5 Keramat has been part of KL's skate scene since the early 1990s. Three separated sections reduce crowding and allow different skill levels to coexist — beginners can find lower obstacles as more advanced riders use dedicated areas. Lighting extends usable hours into the evening. Concrete surfaces are aged and rough, which accelerates board wear. Some ramps have been replaced; others show rust and age.
