Iskandar Polo Club Ipoh
📍 Ipoh, Perak
A sprawling outdoor polo club in Ipoh with open lawns, lake views, and optional horse riding sessions. Grounds are best visited on dry sunny days — puddles and broken fencing appear after rain.
Really enjoyed my time at Polo Club Ipoh. The place has a chill and relaxing vibe, very spacious and well maintained. Nice spot to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. Entry is RM30 per person, and horse riding is RM80 for 30 minutes — totally worth it for the experience. Great for first-timers and anyone looking for something different. Overall, a great place to visit and chill.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children who enjoy open outdoor space and the possibility of a horse riding session. Plan for at least 2 hours to justify the trip. Bring your own food and a picnic mat — there are no food or beverage services on-site. Confirm horse availability by calling ahead if that's the primary draw.

“While the location is satisfactory, the admission fee was 30 ringgits. My visit was solely for observation. I noted the absence of coffee service or designated seating areas, with only a few individuals seated on the ground.”

“Iskandar Club isn’t particularly special, but it does offer a fairly pleasant experience if you enjoy nature and a more open, outdoor setting. The surroundings feel relaxing, and there are a few nice spots for photos. That said, it can get quite hot, especially during the day, which may affect the overall experience. If you like taking photos, it’s still worth stopping by to capture a few shots. The entrance fee is around RM30 per person, which feels a bit expensive for what is offered, so it’s something to consider before visiting. It might be more suitable if you’re going with a group or simply want to add a light, casual stop to your itinerary. 👉 Overall: Not outstanding, okay to visit once, but manage your expectations.”

“Not very well maintained for a place that charges RM30 for entrance. It started raining after we entered, and a lot of areas had water puddles. Fences were broken. Still, it’s a pretty place to chill, and I think it would be fine if you come on a sunny day and spend atleast 2hrs picnic, the money should be worth it. The toilets 👎🏻 Luckily didn’t encounter any “racist” guard, the Malay uncle was nice.”

Overview
Iskandar Polo Club occupies generous grounds with open lawns, hill and lake views, and a relaxed pace uncommon in Ipoh. Horse riding is available as an add-on for children and first-timers. Facilities beyond the grounds themselves are minimal — no seating areas, no cafe. The open terrain is best enjoyed on a dry, sunny day; rain quickly creates puddles and exposes maintenance gaps in fencing. Horses are sometimes stabled and not visible from the grounds.
