Saanen Dairy Goat Farm
π Kampung Batu Putih, Penang
A non-commercial family-run farm in Penang's hills with free entry to see goats, ostriches, porcupines, cats, and chickens. Optional paid feed and fresh goat milk products on-site.
This is lovely hidden place that has a very home-like feeling and is not commercial. You donβt have to pay to see the animals, but itβs optional to pay for some feed if you want to feed them yourselves. We came with our one year old and enjoyed it soo much. You can see cats, chickens, porcupines, goats, ostriches and many other animals. We ended up also getting some ice cream and I tried the goat milk latte which was nice Thank you to the owners for keeping this place open β€οΈ
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want an authentic, low-key farm encounter without commercial packaging. Free entry suits families with multiple children. Toddlers enjoy the animals with supervision. Sit in the front seat on the way up if anyone is prone to motion sickness on curvy roads. The goat milk ice cream and latte are a genuine draw worth the drive.

βThere are quite a number of animals here, all very adorable and not afraid to interact with people. Some energetic goats might even stand up to hug you for foodβstrong and a little aggressive π¬. We fed them and even brought home some dairy products. Definitely a great place to visit and experience the joy!β

βWorth the curvy drive :). Sit in the front seat if you get carsick. Really sweet and unassuming family farm. Pet goats of all ages and sizes, try goat milk products, and see a bunch of other cool animals at the same time, including the cutest and friendliest groundhog ever.β

Overview
Saanen Dairy Goat Farm feels more like visiting a family's homestead than a tourist attraction. Entry is free, with optional paid animal feed available. Animals include goats of all sizes, ostriches, porcupines, cats, and chickens β many are confident and interactive. Some goats stand up on visitors seeking food, so supervise young children closely during feeding. Fresh goat milk products including latte and ice cream are made on-site. The mountain road to reach the farm is scenic and winding.
