The TOP Penang, Theme Park Penang
📍 George Town, Penang
The TOP Penang combines observation decks, a glass skywalk, mirror mazes, an aquarium, and a Jurassic dinosaur exhibit across multiple floors of the Komtar tower. Indoor air conditioning throughout. Best visited in the morning or late evening.
I visited The TOP Penang in George Town and it was one of the most entertaining and activity packed places I went to during my trip. What I like most is that it’s not just one attraction, but a whole mix of experiences inside one building, so you really get value for your time. The observation levels give you wide views of the city and coastline, and the Rainbow Skywalk and glass floor sections add a fun challenge, especially if you are not used to heights. It’s exciting but still feels safe, and it’s perfect for photos. Inside, there are many themed attractions, interactive exhibits, and family friendly activities, so both adults and kids can enjoy different parts of the place. You can move at your own pace, take breaks, and explore section by section without feeling rushed. It’s also a good escape from the heat since most areas are indoors and air conditioned. Some spots can be crowded, especially during peak hours, but the facilities are well maintained and staff are generally helpful. Overall, The TOP Penang is a solid choice if you want a mix of views, light adventure, and indoor fun all in one stop while visiting Penang.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
A full half-day to full-day venue for families with children of all ages who want varied activities under one roof. The glass skywalk delivers genuine height-exposure thrills for adventurous children. Morning or late evening visits avoid afternoon heat in outdoor sections.

“Jurassic Park - 5/5! I learned a lot about dinosaur history there, and the replica dinosaurs are so big and look really realistic. I'd definitely recommend it. If you go, I'd suggest the morning or late evening – it's an indoor/outdoor place, and it can get pretty hot in the afternoon. Aquarium - 4 out of 5 stars! You can find a really wide variety of fish here, which makes it a cool place to spend some time with the kids. Some of the fish are pretty unique, while others you'd find in your local pet store – nothing too out of the ordinary. But it's still a fun experience overall.Nice place to take photos as well ! Mirror Maze - 3/5. It was a bit short and pretty easy to find the way out. If they made it a little longer or a bit more challenging, it would be really fun! I found the exit in about 5 minutes – it was too easy.”

“Awesome work from OWG group to revive with a great awesome attraction TOP. Beautiful top komtar view with some glass view and sky bridge walk. Is a great experience. There are few others attractions around the TOP entrance as well which is worth the visit and we spend half a day at Komtar. Seriously the old komtar has nothing and just go straight to TOP area. Tips: Highly recommend to purchase the top 5 attractions combo tickets with TOP 3 activities and additional Top Aquarium and Jurassic Research Center. Nice combo for kids and half day well spend. Online purchase like klook can be redeem at the machine to skip the walk-in purchase queue. Do check with the friendly staff.”

“Visited The TOP in Penang, and it is a fun and family friendly attraction with plenty to do for all ages. The complex has multiple levels of activities, observation decks, and playgrounds, making it engaging for both kids and adults. One highlight is the view from the observation area, which offers a panoramic look at Penang and the surrounding coastline. It’s a great spot for photos and enjoying the scenery. The indoor sections are well-designed, clean, and safe, allowing visitors to explore comfortably even on rainy days.”

Overview
The TOP Penang occupies multiple floors of the Komtar building in George Town, stacking distinct attractions — glass-floor skywalk, dinosaur replica exhibit, aquarium, mirror maze, and observation decks — in a single venue. The panoramic city and sea views are a genuine highlight. The Jurassic exhibit features large-scale realistic dinosaur replicas and educational content. Afternoon visits get hot in partially outdoor sections.
